I decided not long ago that I need not only a place to store my ever growing collection of pictures but also a place where I could put into text my thoughts on the subject of architecture instead of throwing them out wildly on Facebook.
This blog will also contain pictures (taken by myself when possible) of what I consider 'significant architecture' in and around Franklin County, Kentucky. With each example I will try to provide historical data such as architect, builder(s), original owner, date completed, etc. Most importantly I will explain why I think each example is 'architecturally significant.'
My first official post will be forthcoming and in it I will endeavor to answer (somewhat) the question, "What is architecture?" using Websters Dictionary, quotes and pictures.
